While the food and drink selection is praised, some guests mention limited beverage options. Overall, Waterside Cafe is regarded as an excellent spot for brunch or lunch, ideal for those looking to unwind with good food and picturesque views.
Gluten free homemade scone ( best I have had in UK).Great coffee tooLovely sitting by the river
One of our favourite places to sit and watch the river go by. Delicious food with a view. What’s not to like? Try the fish finger sandwiches!!!
Lovely little cafe to stop and have lunch before or after a visit to Arundel Castle.Huge scone really tasty and great value for money, and other half enjoyed a fish finger sandwich, huge fishfingers and really nice bread. Slightly disappointed if they didn't have any lemonade to go with a gin but opted for a small wine instead. Really relaxed atmosphere and you can even rent a motorboat if you so wish!
Beautiful spot for a bit of brunch, attentive and friendly staff, comfortable seating and an amazing view..I had dirty fries with BBQ pulled pork and cheese and it was amazing. My wife enjoyed a cream tea with a tasty gluten free scone.Recommended..
No problem parking with Mill Road car park immediately at the entrance with masses of space. Pay and display.Cafe very easy to spot due to the expansive painted sign and mural on the exterior park facing wall.Single door entrance with signage directing diners to take a seat and be waited on. To the left is a small narrowing area alongside the river bank. To the right is a much larger area fitted out with sofas, comfy and rattan chairs all under cover. There are also tables and chairs lining the riverbank. There is a single toilet cubicle at the end of the covered area.More seating is available in open air closer to a small stage area. A three piece band was playing on the day of our visit.Service was quickly provided as there were ample staff in attending. Drinks and meals arrived promptly. An extremely worthwhile stop with a unique view. Loved it.
Excellent food and great service. Friendly staff. Beautiful view and great price for all 4 of us. We had 4 meals for less than 40 which I found great value. Beautiful view.
Nice location by the river. Plenty of outdoor seating most of which has some form of cover such as umbrellas. It was mildly busy but the service was efficient. Covid measures were comprehensive including the laminated menus being cleaned before each use. I had the fish finger sandwich. The fish fingers were larger than usual and properly cooked. I had a flat white coffee which was ok but if coffee is important to you, I'd get one elsewhere. Overall, very pleased with the lunch, the service and the location.
I have been coming here for years, whenever I find myself in Arundel for a dog walk. They do amazing large fish finger sandwiches, and their cheesy chips are unmatched! Reasonable prices for Arundel, and of course the location beats any of the more expensive cafes and restaurants in town. Very friendly owner and staff too - don't pay attention to any of the negative reviews! This is just good honest food (big portions) at reasonable prices, with a tranquil setting. My dog is always warmly welcomed too. Fully recommend!
